Are you one of the many who are confused about the United States Postal Service and the Fourth of July holiday? I was especially confused with this year being a Leap Year and pushing the fourth to Wednesday. If this were not a Leap Year, July 4th would have fallen on a Tuesday.
They celebrate so many holidays on Monday it's easy to think that they would celebrate Independence Day on the nearest Monday but that is not the case. Even if it had fallen on Tuesday, the USPS always observes this holiday on the actual date of July 4th — unless it falls on a Sunday. If the Fourth of July falls on a Sunday, then the USPS observes it by being closed on the following Monday.
Okay, so now that we've cleared that up, how about hitting those Fourth of July sales? But before you go, how about a little Every Door Direct Mail Fourth of July entertainment?
